By continuously sampling the flow of the NO-O2 mixture delivered to the patient, NOXtec 3000 monitors the nitric oxide concentration the patient is receiving and whether it stays within predetermined threshold values. It also monitors trace amounts of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in the mixture, a highly toxic gas that can compromise patient safety during therapy.
NOXtec 3000 can calibrate the NO, NO2 and O2 sensors automatically and includes a system for measuring NO, NO2 and O2 concentrations in the room.
