z-ACT® — In-House Manufactured ACT System

z-ACT® is the ACT (activated clotting time) test system manufactured in-house by z-Biomedikal. It comprises Celite®-activated test tubes and the Model 250 measuring unit. The tubes are used during and after medical and surgical procedures involving heparin, and are compatible with tube-based ACT instruments including Actalyke® and Hemochron®. Manufacturing, quality control and supply are handled directly by z-Biomedikal. We are among the few manufacturers worldwide producing Celite-activated test tubes for tube-based ACT systems: z-ACT® tubes have been manufactured since 2006.
